Wear your pearl often to keep it shiny. Most importantly, your pearls need to breathe. Do not use an air-tight storage area and try to avoid contact with chemicals, chlorine water, perfume and other cosmetics as this can dry out the pearl. You can clean your freshwater pearl hoop with a clean soft cloth or use a solution of lukewarm water and mild dish soap in case your earring needs a deeper rinse. Dip a soft cloth in the solution and wipe the pearl and hoop gently.
